DIY Whipped Baby Butter With Lavender and Calendula
1/2cupOrganic Mango Butter
1/4cupOrganic Virgin Coconut Oil
1tbspOrganic Sweet Almond Oil
1/2tbspVitamin E Oil
5dropsLavender Essential Oil* Only for babies 3 months or older. Never apply essential oils alone or undiluted to baby's skin.
Melt the coconut oil over low heat in a doubler boiler. Add in the calendula and gently heat and infuse all that goodness for 3 hours – keep an eye on the water level, making sure that there is enough the entire time.
Pour the coconut oil into a fine wire strainer to strain the herbs.Discard the herbs and allow the coconut oil to cool.
Add the mango butter, herb infused coconut oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin e oil, and essential oil to a mixing bowl.
Using a hand mixer, whip the oils to a lovely fluffy creamy consistency.
Store in a cool place in air tight glass container and it will keep for several months to a year.
