DIY Whipped Baby Butter With Lavender and Calendula

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Organic Mango Butter
  • 1/4 cup Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 3 tbsp Calendula
  • 1 tbsp Organic Sweet Almond Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Vitamin E Oil
  • 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil * Only for babies 3 months or older. Never apply essential oils alone or undiluted to baby's skin.

Instructions

  • Melt the coconut oil over low heat in a doubler boiler. Add in the calendula and gently heat and infuse all that goodness for 3 hours – keep an eye on the water level, making sure that there is enough the entire time.
  • Pour the coconut oil into a fine wire strainer to strain the herbs.
    Discard the herbs and allow the coconut oil to cool.
  • Add the mango butter, herb infused coconut oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin e oil, and essential oil to a mixing bowl.
  • Using a hand mixer, whip the oils to a lovely fluffy creamy consistency.

Notes

Store in a cool place in air tight glass container and it will keep for several months to a year.
